Belaku Eye Foundation, a unit of Belaku Eye Hospitals, pioneered by esteem Directors of Belaku Eye Hospitals Dr. Suresh H H, Ashok.S.Jayaram and Dr.Anitha B in the First week of December 2011, with the vision of providing free eye surgery to rural India. Belaku Eye Foundation conducts Free Eye Camps of Mandya District of Karnataka and performs Free Cataract Surgery (SICS) at Belaku Eye Hospital, Kengeri. For the period of January 20012 to January 2013 the Foundation has conducted Thirty Three (33) Eye Camps and performed 650 Free Catatract Surgeries keeping excellence in vision restoration.
Belaku Eye Foundation also conducts Free School Screening with the vision to identify and rectify if defects any in the vision of children, and also educate children on eye care.
Belaku Eye Foundation plans to conduct Free Screening for Diabetic Retenopathy; and Glaucoma in people aged above 40 years in rual areas.
Belaku Eye Foundation in comming days intends to expand it's service in other rural areas of Karnataka.
